A Gallery of Fishing Catching Streamers
These flies were tied for the Delaware River in Upstate, New York and Finger Lakes Landlocked Salmon and brown trout. A few are original patterns but most are variants of Classic Atlantic Salmon lures. A lot of the bigger streamers, and even smaller buggers are like tying a toy poodle onto your leader, they can be a bear to cast! I love featherwing streamers because their streamlined shape makes them a pleasure to cast. Tied in smaller sizes some of them are proven small stream winners. Most were inspired by Dave Klausmeyer's book "Tying Classic Freshwater Streamers".
